I’m an interdisciplinary scholar specializing in environmental issues. I hold a BA in anthropology from the Catholic University of Ecuador and two MA degrees: one in Interamerican studies and another in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Bielefeld. My master’s dissertation analyzed court cases related to the Rights of Nature (RoN) in Ecuador, exploring conceptual understandings of ’nature‘ and its representation in legal trials. My current research builds on this work, examining the social dynamics that support and facilitate the development of the RoN in Ecuador, with a focus on decolonial epistemologies.
